After some new snow in the past couple of days, groomers were out this morning putting the trails in shape. Luke groomed all of the Nordic Trails with classic tracks including the 5K, Upper Meadows and Moose Meadows. Jeff groomed the narrow-gauge Viewscape perimeter trail at Moose Meadows, which is perfect for a fat-tire bike "flow" trail ride today. Get out and enjoy your Girdwood Trails today!...

Meet at the Arlberg Pkg lot, 6pm Tues. Feb 23rd. Ski the 5k or the meadows, a ski-length (or two) away from community members and friends! Moose Meadow is firm and another option to ski from. Twinkling stars and fresh air will make any evening ski along our local trails fulfilling - with or without a crew. Dress warm, wear a face covering, and see your eyes and skis there! If you have a meeting to make on these Tuesday nights, come at a time that works for you or carry the meeting with you as you ski along the trails....

Warm temperatures and several inches of new snow arrived last night. The 5K Nordic Loop has been groomed and new classic track has been laid down. Chugach Powder Guides' snowcat went out the cat track early this morning, and groomed it. All other trails in Girdwood have NOT been groomed. There should be some fun skiing out there today....
5 k remains in good skiing shape so was not on our list for work tonight. Groomers gave a onceover to the rest of the trails again tonight. Take a circumnavigation tour around the Moose Meadow and see a side of Girdwood most have never seen! Our narrow gage groomer is making a nice path to follow for all users. You may have to step aside for other users out on the trail but you will mostly have the trail to yourself. Thanks to the chief Snow Dog operator!! All other lower valley trails have also been gone over. If you like this kind of groomed snow trail please attend the next Girdwood Trails Committee and ask for more. pz...

We have been working the Moose Meadow perimeter loop single track. Take a trip around. Still a little soft but a different perspective. Multi use fun. All other trails are getting worked over tonight. Saturday skiing should be great! Enjoy winter. pz...
We took the Snow Dog Groomer out to make a nice track all around the perimeter of the Moose Meadow. The groom is soft but should firm up with more use and successive grooms. Try out our new snow trail any way you travel- feet, skis, snowshoes or fat tire bikes and let us know how you like it! Total length is 3.5 KM. pz...
With new, dry snow the Girdwood trails got a fresh groom this morning. The 5K Nordic Loop was groomed and classic track was set. Upper Valley trails, Moose Meadow, connector trails and the Arlberg bike path were also groomed and classic track was set. There should be some fun skiing out there today....
