The shortest day and longest night is nearly here! Come celebrate Winter Solstice with GSNC and Girdwood community. Wear your skis, a headlamp, and all the lights and reflectors you can manage. Where will you park? Start from Alyeska or a favorite trailhead and ski, bike, or walk to the kiosk. Don't forget your own cup and spoon for beverage or soup and ski the 2K loop! 6-8pm...

Join Thurs evening June 5th. 630pm start at the Magic Carpet. Carpool, bike, walk, shuttle from home to get out with community for a great cause! Girdwood's Breast Intentions is our Team! Register online even if you cannot be there, support and join in spirit! We will be jogging, walking, strolling for 1-5miles. You choose! Wear pink and bring your good vibes. The Alaska Run for Women helps women across Alaska and this event supports access to mammograms and breast cancer awareness through education and screening. Be a part of the fun right in the Girdwood Valley....

We know 2024 was an awesome Corduroy Crush with KMTA! Thank you to those who have been asking about the fun spring ski event! Unfortunately, during this continuing time of lean snowpack combined with an unpredictable upcoming forecast, GNSC has made the decision to cancel the April Ski event this year - and look toward 2026! Further: Kenai Mountains Turnagain Arm National Heritage Area, and countless other non profits, are amidst a very challenging time with federal funding disruption. They thank you for standing with them during the uncertain recent weeks. KMTA encourages supporters to send a letter to our congressional delegation using this template advocating for KMTA.
