18 Jan Ski lessons are a go – Starting this week!

Skate and Classic Skiing Lessons with coach Tyler, beginning Jan 21. Skate every Friday 3-4pm and 5-6pm 1hour (Jan 21- Feb 18th) Classic Sundays 1-2pm Jan (30, Feb 6, 27th) Classes $30 each / Sign up at www.fourvalleys.org Meet at Moose Meadow Tyler has been skiing since Middle School and honed his skills as a racer through high school and began coaching kids programs while attending UAA. A seasonal worker, Tyler spends his winters coaching skiing in the Anchorage bowl, his spring seasons ski coaching in rural Alaskan communities, and his summers chasing salmon in Bristol Bay. Tyler has over 15 seasons of coaching experience in swimming and skiing, and is a qualified member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA)....

19 Dec Bring Back the Light, 5pm Dec 19th

Statewide 2021 Bring Back the Light Event - Girdwood joins with a headlamp ski!  Meet at Our Lady of the Snows parking lot for a ski, bike, or walk with light on the trails. COVID-19 Pandemic has been long and difficult, but Alaskans have shown considerable strength and continue to adapt and care for each other. Step outside (& ski!) and shine a light in honor of all those who have lost their lives and loved ones or have experienced hardship or loss. Express gratitude and help us bring back the light. Meet below the pkg lot and head out on the groomed trails for a one hour loop. Go at your own pace and time - or go from your door with others if you cannot make it. Girdwood Run for Women!  Virtual, this Saturday June 12-June 19th. A 5mile course will be flagged along local streets, bikepath, and the beginning of the Nordic trail; a nice Girdwood mix!  Stay on the pink-flagged course for 1-5miles and join the cause!  Course starts at the base of Magic Carpet and continues clockwise, making a big loop. Information HERE.  Thanks to Girdwood Nordic Ski Club and Alyeska Ski Resort, the event to end CCAK's non-season is starting Saturday morning, UP the mountain! The Tour de SkiMeister.
