Registration is OPEN for the 2026 Alaska Run for Women! There will be a virtual course right here in Girdwood on Thursday, June 4, at 5:30 pm. 1mi and 5mi loops. All are welcome - meet at the Magic Carpet ready to walk, jog, run and stroll @ 5:30p without driving the highway. Whether you can make it or not, join Girdwood's team! When you register, simply select “I plan to be on a team” and choose “Girdwood’s Breast Intentions.”...

Thank you to all who came out on Sunday and brought the cheer! We were stoked to have a great crew out there and appreciate all the spirit of participants. Thank you to The Bake Shop and Alpenglow for providing the tasty and warming nourishment. Having fresh snow to boost the celebration of Nordic skiing was sweet. HERE are the Results! The shortest day and longest night is nearly here! Come celebrate Winter Solstice with GSNC and Girdwood community. Wear your skis, a headlamp, and all the lights and reflectors you can manage. Where will you park? Start from Alyeska or a favorite trailhead and ski, bike, or walk to the kiosk. Don't forget your own cup and spoon for beverage or soup and ski the 2K loop! 6-8pm...
