Warm, wet weather has brought a temporary halt to grooming operations, but we've groomed the 5K Nordic Loop several times in the last few days.  The trail is VERY MUSHY today.  Skiing may damage the surface, so please avoid the trail until it firms up.  Also, since we are into the Winter grooming season, dogs, snowshoes, bikes and walking on the SKI ONLY 5K trail are not permitted....

Yesterday and last night's snowfall made it possible to open the whole loop of the 5 K trail. It skied nicely today,  however is a bit thin in spots. More snow in the forecast! Currently Moose Meadow and connecting trails to upper valley loop are still short  of snow to groom without harming underlying  vegetation. We will be looking at expanding our trails as snowfall allows. Get out there and enjoy WINTER! pz  ...

Winter Grooming has begun! Thanks to Eric from Alyeska Resort for coming out and using their tracked  side by side wheeler to pull the club's roller around the entire 5 K loop! Conditions are about 2" of packed powder. We now are switching back to our winter ski only status for the trail. Bring your rock skis and leave your dog at home please. We recommend classic skis at this point to help consolidate our thin snowpack. We still need much more snow but this is a wonderful start. pz  ...

Once grooming starts 5K will go back to ski only. For now enjoy it however you choose! There is less than 3 " on the trail now. Perhaps the one skier yesterday might agree its still too early to ski the 5 K. We hope to see some Christmas snows which will put us back into Groom mode. Stay tuned and please obey signs once they go up. Merry Christmas and a snow filled New Year.  pz...
