Trail Etiquette

If you are skiing fast and come upon slower skiers, please reduce your speed while you pass – or yell out like Peter does when flying down hills.

Fill in Sitzmarks (disturbed snow left when you fall) as best you can.

Please let others know you are approaching from behind by politely calling out trail or on your left or Hello there friendly skier, here I come or whatever you make up.

Avoid skiing right after volunteers groom trails. It takes 2-4 hours for the freshly groomed trails to set up.

On groomed meadow ski trails, it is polite to walk/snowshoe on the outer edge instead of the middle. Please avoid skating walking or running on classic XC ski tracks also.

Downhill skiers have the right-of-way.
