The 5 k was worked on this morning, resulting in a nice groom just waiting for new snow. Tracks have been removed, but the trail is set for skiing. Tonight: The snowdog groomed Gird to Bird out to the first bathrooms and lower Iditarod trail. The moisture added snow packed well. In addition, the 5 k, Arlberg sidewalk, moose meadow, lower and upper meadows, plus connector were also groomed with tracks laid down for most. Hopefully all will set up overnight. ...

Statewide 2021 Bring Back the Light Event - Girdwood joins with a headlamp ski! Meet at Our Lady of the Snows parking lot for a ski, bike, or walk with light on the trails. COVID-19 Pandemic has been long and difficult, but Alaskans have shown considerable strength and continue to adapt and care for each other. Step outside (& ski!) and shine a light in honor of all those who have lost their lives and loved ones or have experienced hardship or loss. Express gratitude and help us bring back the light. Meet below the pkg lot and head out on the groomed trails for a one hour loop. Go at your own pace and time - or go from your door with others if you cannot make it.
