The record rainfall Oct29-Nov1 weekend caused flood stage, raging water to carve and drain sections of our trails and roads in Girdwood valley. GNSC Volunteers will be helping the bridges behind Our Lady of the Snows today 11/5. If you have a trail condition to report, please let us know! GNSC members and volunteers cleared a dam this week that already damaged the trail and bridge connections behind Our Lady of the Snows Church. Fortunately, the dam was released after a few hours of labor and the bridge held. Please keep an eye on our local trails and let us know if more damming is taking place! We maintain our trails year-round and appreciate our volunteers....

John got out tonight to groom it up. Reported to be a good groom as usual on 5K and Upper Valley Loop. Last nights precip has puddled the Moose Meadow in the usual spots. We are waiting for the water to drain and temps to cool before the next groom. Still OK skiing on a soft surface between water hazards. pz...
Arlberg Path, Upper Valley Loop and 5 K all knocked down with a roller. There was as much as 3" high on the 5K. CPG has been putting a nice surface on the Cat Track Road as well. Warm and wet temps are expected to continue through out the week. Get out there and enjoy it while we've got it! pz...

Tour de SkiMeister is this Saturday, April 17th. Information HERE. Thanks to Girdwood Nordic Ski Club and Alyeska Ski Resort, the event to end CCAK's non-season is starting Saturday morning, UP the mountain! The Tour de SkiMeister. Races begin at 9am in 20 second intervals from the base of the tram, Sat Apr 17th with U16 and Under Short Course and U16 and older Long Course. No spectators allowed.
