Please use skis to travel on the meadows, or snowshoes. And pick up your dog's poop. Perimeter Viewscape Trail around Moose Meadow is a great ski! This evening: Groomers went and combed around the 5k! The trail is in decent shape. Hope tonight's cooler temps will firm up the surface, as it was very soft today....

Challenging road conditions exist today due to freezing rain, followed by rain. Give road crews time to work and stay off the 5k until the numerous snow bombs have been addressed. It's a great day for indoor training and gratitude! Classic and fish scale skiing on Moose Meadow is doable, just sinking with narrow skis. Walkers, i.e. deep footprints, please stay off the trails and veer toward plowed paths. Thank you everyone for your support. Check out this ski lecture through US XC ski team...

The trails are groomed by tonight with tracks set on Moose Meadow and the 5k. Please snowbike on all the multi-use trails: Arlberg/Alyeska Bikepath, Bird-Gird Bikepath, Beaver Pond, Iditarod NHT, Winner Creek Trail, Moose Meadow and Upper Meadows. The 5K is the only place in Girdwood that is Nordic SKI ONLY. Thank you groomers!...

Happy Solstice! Enjoy the CAT results on the 5k and ski from Our Lady of the Snows, Moose Meadow, ride GVT or park in Pkg Lot A as the longest night begins. It's the Solstice Ski from 6-8pm! Join GNSC and Community on the lighted 5K loop Wednesday, Dec 21, 2022. Bundle up, bike or ski to parking lot A, bring your mug (and maybe a spoon!) and ski up to the kiosk to join in the celebration of LIGHT! This is a favorite annual event for many. Ski the 1K or 5K loops with a headlamp or without. We look forward to seeing you on the trails! Ski from Moose Meadow for a lovely tour of Girdwood and warm up at the kiosk with celebration and ski back....

Groomers were out all Friday packing and rolling the meadows to open up all the trails. Overnight gave time to set up! The 5k is groomed with tracks set. Huge thanks to our volunteers! Shoveling today at 10am behind Our Lady of the Snows to fill in the spaces between Horror Hill and 4-corners to Enchanted Forest. Join? Wear skis or snow shoes, bring a shovel and maybe clippers. You'll generate some heat to stay warm...

Our volunteers were out today on all the trails, checking the meadows and connectors and smoothing out the 5K. The best groom is the 5K.. surprise! Terrain is uneven in the meadows and we are another storm away from snow setting up along connectors and meadows for a groom. Thank you everyone!...
