The 5K Nordic Loop is holding up well despite all of the rain.  With all of the grooming this winter - starting on October 30th, the snow on the trail has been well compacted.  We should be skiing the trail into April.  The Upper Meadows are quite skiable, but we haven't groomed up there in a few days.  The Moose Meadow is very wet and we don't anticipate grooming to resume there until we get a good freeze....

Gallup went out on 5K and Upper Meadow loop and spruced it up. Also John took a single loop around Moose Meadow but had to pull off when runoff water was encountered. As soon as water drains or freezes we can safely groom Moose Meadow. Stay tuned and be safe out there. pz...

After last night’s wind event, we received help from Alyeska Resort on the 5K Loop. It was groomed this morning and John G set some classic tracks. Thanks to both. All the meadows are too unstable to groom (running water) so enjoy your adventure, and we will attempt to groom when the temperatures drop....

Jeff & Sharon groomed and set new classic tracks on the connector trails, Moose Meadow and the 5K Nordic Loop.  The Upper Meadows and Arlberg bike trail were also groomed.  Enjoy Winter!...

Two days ago, Alyeska Resort groomed the 5K Nordic Loop.  Many thanks to their groomers.  Yesterday, Shane groomed all of the Upper Meadows, connector trails and the Moose Meadow.  Today, classic tracks were added to the 5K Nordic Loop.  It should be a fantastic day for Nordic skiing in Glacier Valley....

With @ 6 " snow over the last few days all trails got a once- over. Nice soft surface and great skiing! Please fill out your Girdwood Area surveys and use the," other ", box to emphasize the importance of New trail development and inter connectivity throughout our valley. The hard surface on the 5K Nordic Loop was scuffed up this morning.  Skiing should be pretty good.  The downhills will be very fast - use caution.  The Upper Meadows were groomed, as well as the connector trail from the Upper Meadows through Enchanted Forest and Conway Meadow to the Moose Meadow.  Lots of overflow in the Moose Meadow prevented grooming there.  Do your best snow dance - we need some new snow....
