All trails are smooth and firm around the Girdwood Valley. A quick sweep of the bike path was completed last night by the Snowdog, to the Beaver Pond north end. Snow is falling and first tracks are being made today. Enjoy the trails and stay tuned for updates! Thanks for picking up after the pups and placing full mitts in the secure trash bins provided by Parks & Recreation....

El Jeffe and Ethan put down the prettiest groom of the season. All trails were groomed and tracks were set everywhere tonight. They were wrapping up just as things were starting to cool off so hopefully the groom lasts a while! Beautiful night out there!...

Last night Moose Meadow was groomed before the overnight crisp temperatures. Its perimeter, the Perimeter ViewScape Trail - was brushed early this morning for a more smooth surface. Today's forecast calls for warm temperatures once again, when a groom will begin mid-day on the lower, upper meadows, and the 5K. Enjoy the trails out there, keep them clean, and thank our volunteer groomers!...

Fresh corduroy on all trails. Thank you Jim! New tracks set on meadows and tracks left as is on 5K. Enjoy the snow out there and be kind to all trail users - think before you sink (tire pressure) ski in the tracks, and pick up the poop....

What a gorgeous evening to groom! Moose Meadows, lower and upper meadows, and connectors were touched up after the temperature cooled. Tracks were set everywhere possible. Thank you volunteer groomers and GNSC supporters! Keep the trails clean everyone and enjoy the trails....

It's a wet morning out there. The 5K, Moose Meadow, Lower and upper meadows, connector trails and Arlberg bikepath were groomed. Tracks on 5K were left as is. Snow is very soft!...

Sorry no new work on 5K today. We had a groomer breakdown which slowed progress. We did however fluff up Moose Meadow and connector to Arlberg lot. Upper meadow loop and 5 K still need some work. pz  The Perimeter ViewScape Trail on Moose Meadow was brushed this afternoon. Thank you volunteer groomers for continuing to give Girdwood's trail users beautiful skiing, biking, walking, and pups recreation!...

February flew! Tonight the trails were smoothed out: 5K, Moose Meadow, and connectors. Tracks were left on the 5k. No tracks reset. Skate skiers could start out March on both skis. Enjoy the snowpack out there. Peace....

KMTA Classic Sunday - register at 11am for 12pm 2k start, 12:30pm 5k start, and 1:30pm  2x2x2 relay! The 5k Nordic loop will be closed today for the KMTA race. Saturday all trails were groomed and the temps softened the snow for skiing. Enjoy the multi use trails Sunday, Feb 27th. Dog poop doesn't disappear everyone, unless it's picked up by a mutt mitt bag and responsibly deposited in the bins, also kindly provided by Parks & Rec. Thank you volunteers and groomers!...

Get your relay team together 2x2x2! Sunday at noon is the 2k youth-adult race, a timed 5k, and then the 2x2x2 relay. Register at right and the fun starts when you clip your skis on. Park at parking lot B and head to the food and fun faster. This local Girdwood race celebrates the history of this area and Nordic skiing. Free for kids 12 and under and free ice cream...
