It's a beautiful and quiet Tuesday out there. Jeff groomed the trails in Girdwood valley and set tracks. The 5K is completed to set up overnight as well as the meadows. There is some excellent spring skiing today! Get out in these mild temperatures, enjoy Winter, and pick up after your pup.  Thank you groomers for keeping the trails skiable! Tonight: Viewscape Loop, Lower Iditarod, Beaver Pond, and Bird to Gird bikepath have been narrow gauge groomed....

Spring is springing but the snow keeps coming! Yesterday added a few inches of snow to the trails so Riley and John groomed all of the main Girdwood Nordic and Multi-Use trails this morning, with classic tracks set. With these longer, sunnier days, the conditions are softening up so don’t be surprised to see grooming equipment out again a couple more times this weekend.    ...

Luke and John groomed all trails this evening, with classic tracks set throughout the 5k, Upper Meadows and Moose Meadows trails. Things should set up nicely overnight for some beautiful Nordic skiing in Girdwood on Sunday! Ben will groom the Lower Iditarod and Moose Meadows “Viewscape” trails on Sunday morning with the Snow Dog narrow gauge groomer. Those trails are great for a walk or fat tire bike ride. Winter will soon become Breakup so get out and make the most of our winter trails while the gettin’ is good these days!...

Kyle and Jim groomed a very cold surface this morning.  As a result, the groomed surfaces are pretty fuzzy - which can make for a fun skating surface.  New classic tracks were set on most of the trails, except for the Arlberg bike path.  It's kind of cool out there, so when you go for a ski on the awesome trails, make sure to wear your woolies....

Tonight: Beaver Pond, Lower Iditarod narrow gauge groomed. AM: Moose Meadow, 5k, and Upper Meadows were in excellent shape today! All trails freshly groomed this morning with tracks set. Thank you groomers! Get out there and don't forget to pick up after your pups. Saw a few fresh brown piles on my morning ski already...

This afternoon Jeff began packing today's heavy snow, completing laps on the 5k. Our Snowdog was out on the Viewscape loop this evening. We'll see if we can find the trails tomorrow. Enjoy the snow and thank you groomers from Jr Nordic! Also, if your dog runs the multi-use trails, please grab a Mutt Mitt bag and pick up after your pup so we can all cruise the trails....

Eben touched up all of the Nordic skiing trails with a groom this evening. The 5k and Moose Meadows have classic tracks set and all trails have fresh corduroy laid down. Please pick up after your dogs. Trash cans and poop bags are located at most trailheads. Your fellow trail users and volunteer groomers especially appreciate this! Enjoy your Sunday activities out on Girdwood’s beautiful winter trails!...

Lots of new snow on the trails!  The 5K Nordic Loop and Arlberg bike trail were groomed this afternoon. Grooming was done for the after school ski lessons put on by Four Valleys Community School....

After some new snow in the past couple of days, groomers were out this morning putting the trails in shape. Luke groomed all of the Nordic Trails with classic tracks including the 5K, Upper Meadows and Moose Meadows. Jeff  groomed the narrow-gauge Viewscape perimeter trail at Moose Meadows, which is perfect for a fat-tire bike "flow" trail ride today. Get out and enjoy your Girdwood Trails today!...

Warm temperatures and several inches of new snow arrived last night.  The 5K Nordic Loop has been groomed and new classic track has been laid down.  Chugach Powder Guides' snowcat went out the cat track early this morning, and groomed it.  All other trails in Girdwood have NOT been groomed.  There should be some fun skiing out there today....

5 k remains in good skiing shape so was not on our list for work tonight.  Groomers gave a onceover to the rest of the trails again tonight. Also the Jr. Nordic crew was out today and will be back Wednesday Afternoon. Check out their enthusiasm ! Ben got out on the Viewscape Perimeter Trail in the Moose Meadow and gave it a fresh groom.
