What: Join Girdwood Brewing Co. and Girdwood Nordic for a free family friendly event (not a kid drop-off). All levels are welcome. Go classic or skate, and leave your pups at home. While no actual coaching or teaching will be given, light pointers and advice will be to those looking for some. We've been gazing at the stars above and gliding on fresh groom and fluffy snow. After skiing, meet at GBC for refreshments and community building. Cheers! When: Wed Jan 22nd @ 6pm. Be back to pkg lot by 7:30 at latest. Last call @ GBC is 7:59! Where: 5k parking lot at Arlberg Gear: GYOG (bring your own gear). Dress for the cold.  Wear a headlamp!  ...

Register now for the Alyeska SkiMeister on April 20th. It's a spring tradition and a final hurrah on the last weekend of resort operations as we say goodbye to winter. This FUN event combines downhill skiing, Nordic and biking in one continuous race. Learn more and register HERE....

With SNOW we ski!  Join us this Friday, Dec 22 @ 7pm at the GNSC kiosk to ski and then gather around the bonfire.  Sip hot cocoa, celebrate Solstice. Headlamps and lights encouraged; bring a thermos or buy a NEW moose thermos on Friday!  Sign up for a 2018 Membership here or on Friday!  This is a zero waste event....

The 2nd annual Girdwood Trail Marathon was contested under clear skies and run over 26 miles of Girdwood’s spectacular trail system. This is the only looped trail marathon in Alaska, The race route covers trails managed by Girdwood Nordic Ski Club, Girdwood Park & Rec, Chugach State Park, U.S. Forest Service, Girdwood School and Alyeska Resort. All the proceeds of this run go back to the groups that maintain and build Girdwood trails. The men’s race was won by Alaska back country legend Miles Raney. He bested Matias Saari (2016 winner) and Soren Weurth. The Women’s field was won by APU skier Lauren Fritz, she topped Julie Johnson and Rachel Steer for her first win in Girdwood. Volunteers from Girdwood Nordic Ski Club and the Girdwood Trails Committee made this event happen! See full results here...

The 5K Nordic Loop will not be groomed again this season. Due to lack of snow and construction on the Arlberg Extension - which makes groomer and skier access to the trail extremely difficult, we are suspending grooming operations. When we get another good weather window of a week or so, we'll groom a loop at Turnagain Pass....
