Lauren Fritz

Hailing from across the Chugach in Chugiak/Eagle River, Girdwood became home in 2022 after more than a decade in Anchorage ski racing, coaching, and teaching. An early start in Junior Nordic, followed by high school, collegiate and elite racing teams led Fritz to ski trails all across the U.S. and the world. If she’s not running or skiing the local valley trails, Fritz stays busy playing outside with her husband and young daughter, and keeping up with the latest middle school slang as a local teacher. Fritz is Nordork through and through, with an annual goal to always ski more Nordic days than alpine days.
