It is time to do your best SNOW dance ! Follow the lights around the 1k loop and help us celebrate the beginning of Winter and the longer days to come.

Meet at 5K parking area ready to ski 6 PM sharp! Groups will break up into ability level and ski for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Apres ski at Girdwood brewery. Last call there is 7:59. This is a family event. Kids must be with parents. Get some pointers from group leaders and tour the trail system. Come on out and enjoy the winter wonderland with your friends! Wear a headlamp!

While no actual coaching or teaching will be given, light pointers and advice will be to those looking for some. After skiing, meet at GBC for refreshments and community building. Cheers! Find out more »October 3rd at 9am Meet at the Alyeska Daylodge. Gird your loins, it's time for the Girdwood Marathon!! This is probably the only good news of 2020 so savor it. Choose the full 26.2 mile marathon or 13.1 mile half-marathon. The race starts and ends in the idyllic, forested village of Girdwood. The course takes you through town, along the Bird to Gird trail, into the mountains rich with autumn colors, and views of snow-dusted peaks. It's probably going to rain or hail or both since it's Girdwood, after all. Aid stations? No. This is a BYOBS race (Bring Your Own Bear Spray), along with water and a smile. We will start the race in waves (COVID) and with waves. Covid says, "Race is limited to a maximum of 30 racers for the Marathon, maximum of 30 for the half." Thank you! SIGN UP HERE

Join Nordic enthusiasts on the 5K loop, complete the 1k or more with your headlamp and enjoy being outdoors, safely a ski-length away from friends and community! There's plenty of space to kindly spread out and celebrate our Winter Solstice. Solstice ski when the time is most comfortable for you.
