February flew! Tonight the trails were smoothed out: 5K, Moose Meadow, and connectors. Tracks were left on the 5k. No tracks reset. Skate skiers could start out March on both skis. Enjoy the snowpack out there. Peace....

KMTA Classic Sunday - register at 11am for 12pm 2k start, 12:30pm 5k start, and 1:30pm 2x2x2 relay! The 5k Nordic loop will be closed today for the KMTA race. Get your relay team together 2x2x2! Sunday at noon is the 2k youth-adult race, a timed 5k, and then the 2x2x2 relay. Register at right and the fun starts when you clip your skis on. Last night groomers were out again to smooth up the surface for today's skiing. Track is only set where we could penetrate the hard snow. The surface is hard and fast this AM so use caution on the hills. pz...

Saturday morning tracks were set on most trails, except too solid on Moose Meadow for tracks. All trails were groomed. PVT was smoothed in last night; hope the overnight temps helped set up the narrow gauge trails. Groomers were out this AM to Roll and drag. The snow is wet and temperatures warm. We will continue to do our best as conditions allow. Skiing is OK...
No grooming took place yesterday (2/17) in interest of machinery and volunteers' safety. This morning groomers are out with the objective to roll the trails! Avalanche at Mile 91 has our road crews on the Anchorage side, so please limit driving around Girdwood today. Thank your local plows and GVSA trucks! After everyone could shovel out, the trails received significant attention today following continued heavy snowfall and above freezing temps. Thanks to CPG once again for grooming the upper meadow loop and stadium triangle! The roller went over the 1K loop and over to Moose Meadow. The remaining 3.5K is pretty rough, as it was trackpacked. Groomers were out today to smooth and track all trails. The Viewscape Perimeter Trail around the moose meadow was done as well as the mid and upper valley perimeter trails. Continued snow thru the week warming Wednesday....

Jeff and Sharon went out last night and groomed all trails. Tracks yesterday were glazed and fast and left in place. The renovated trail surface should be good skiing for the day.
